Directions

  1. Make Dijon Aioli: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice until smooth.
  2. Assemble Sandwiches: Spread Dijon aioli on one side of each bread slice. Layer ham and Swiss cheese on four slices of bread, then top with remaining slices.
  3. Butter & Grill: Spread softened butter on the outsides of the bread. Place sandwiches in a preheated panini press (or skillet with weight on top). Grill 3–4 minutes per side until bread is golden and cheese is melted.
  4. Serve: Slice sandwiches in half and serve hot. Optional: garnish with arugula inside the panini for freshness.
