Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 390º.
  2. Finely dice onion and chop bacon slices into small pieces.
  3. In heated frying pan, add olive oil and fry onion and bacon pieces until golden brown. Stir often.
  4. Line cooking tray with baking paper and cut cooled pastry into 5 inch by 5 inch squares.
  5. Distribute bacon and onion mixture on top of pastry squares.
  6. Make an indent in the center of the pastry and leave a small border around the edges.
  7. Fold up sides of pastry, pressing edges firmly. Brush with egg wash.
  8. Add egg into center indent of the pastry.
  9. Bake in preheated oven for approx. 10 minutes until golden brown.
